For this Aspen proposal it had dumped snow all weekend and was now 7 degrees. We rode a snowmobile up to the spot we picked out for being the most perfect spot for Gus to propose to Tori. The wind bit at our exposed faces but the fresh, sparkly snow always makes these cold mornings worth it when scouting for my couples dream locations. This was it. Capitol showing off its 14,131ft of beauty with the sun dropping into its’ snowy peaks.

Gus meticulously planned this special moment. I asked Tori a few weeks before if she and Gus wanted to do a shoot for my website. She had no idea this would actually be the day Gus proposed. Gus and I were in contact all week making sure each and every detail was seamlessly planned. With the help of a few friends, it couldn’t have gone any more perfectly!

I pretended to wrap up the shoot when Gus said he had one more shot he wanted. He positioned them perfectly in front of Capitol peak in the background, turned to Tori, dropped to his knee and asked her to marry him! Gus slipped a custom emerald cut ring onto her finger and her jaw dropped. The most joyful “oh my gosh” followed by the longest, sweetest hug translated into “YES!!”.

The next 20 minutes were filled with squeals of excitement, hugs, kisses, tears and the sweetest candid photos to make sure they would never forget these feelings of joy.
