Kristine and Drew flew to Colorado from Minnesota for their Estes Park wedding. Their day couldn’t have been any more dreamy, full of so many friends and family. They decided to get married at Della Terra Mountain Chateau for its beautiful venue and short drive into Rocky Mountain National Park.
Kristine and Drew wanted to connect prior to walking down the aisle but didn’t want to see one another. I found the biggest tree I could, they stood on either side, held hands, and read love letters to one another. A ‘first touch’. It was such a sweet way for them to spend time together without doing a first look. Then, Kristine and her dad did a first look. He cried, she cried, I cried. Sounds about right for any sweet moment with parents on wedding days. I can’t get enough. Then the bridesmaids and groomsmen came and we took photos in the trees with all their favorite people. Kristine and Drew wanted as much ‘Colorado’ as possible in their photos so I included all the trees and mountains I could. The most notable in Rocky Mountain National Park.
They said their vows, had their ‘first kiss’, and had the cutest exit from their ceremony. Finally, we hopped in my car and drove to the Park. It was unbelievably beautiful and provided the best light and scenery for their portraits. The sun set behind the Rocky Mountains and Kristine and Drew celebrated their love with their favorite people.
One thing that made Kristine and Drew’s Estes Park wedding so easy and carefree from a logistical standpoint was their intentional planning. They allowed for plenty of time to get all the photos that were important to them. We scheduled an hour at RMNP. It was such a magical time to run around in the fields, relax in the sun, and take in the fact that they just became husband and wife.
